Application
This note applies the Efficiency Rebound Ledger published on 2026-07-17 to workforce decisions. It keeps time saved separate from work added, output-floor shifts, human recovery time, and the recipient of the benefit. Reusing the same artifact makes this an application note, not a second independent protocol.
Accounting
The ledger does not treat throughput as a moral property or an employment guarantee. It asks whether the measured savings reduce workload, raise targets, shorten staffing, or create a faster response obligation. The minimum equation is net_gain = time_saved - workload_added - recovery_debt.
Boundary
A useful review identifies the comparison window, added work, changed output floor, protected recovery time, accountable boundary owner, and final benefit recipient. This object does not reduce any company's staffing decision to AI alone, issue a legal conclusion, or promise an individual income outcome.
